At the first thought taking a cruise to Alaska doesn’t sound good with places like Hawaii, Caribbean, Europe and others in the offer. People, at first may not even consider going on a cruise to Alaska. But the reason for that is ignorance. Like any other place in the world Alaska too has its own beauty.
The richest heritage of Alaska is its wild life. All tourist spots will have wild life but in none of the places one will find a moose running around a city or bear fishing. Other than the wild life Alaska has admiring scenic places which are very rare. The glaciers out there in Alaska are amazing and are the sources of great lakes which are the supply of fresh water. One other reason for choosing Alaska for a cruise is its history. In Alaska one will find people of Norwegian descent, where the culture has prevailed over a long period and also indigenous people. This makes Alaska a place where diverse people live.
Also in Alaska one will northern lights which are found in very few places around the world. The season for taking a cruise Alaska is between May and September. July and August are ideal time to take a cruise. In this period, the flora and fauna are at their best, the days are as long as twenty two hours sometimes and the temperature is very warm. Off season cruises are also available. The scenic beauty and the flora and fauna can be best enjoyed in no other place than Alaska.

My mother and father in law have been talking about a cruise to Alaska for years now. They have been on many cruises, but never to Alaska. Just as you mentioned, they thought it wouldn’t be as fun as the warmer places. I just emailed them this link and hopefully this will make them book that cruise to Alaska.
