Dining options in cruises

Food has always played a major factor in vacations as it’s a time when we like to eat whatever we want anytime we like. Often our vacation on trips denies us of this dream. But the time of cruise vacation is here that deliver us with our wish of food independence.
dining on cruiseHistory is always sweat and we would reel back in time to see the first offering of food independence which was by the Norwegian cruise line. The NCL introduced “freestyle cruising” which enabled us to widen the time gap that suited our mood that day between 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. from the conventional timing of 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Another big boon was that you can choose your own seating place, which enabled people to socialize with more people on cruise. Also, NCL offered 5 free restaurants while the others served for $10 to $20 per person enabling us to choose between Mexican, Italian, steak house and more.
Carnival cruise line offered a service called “your dining choice”, which lets us choose between the traditional early time of 6 p.m., the late dining at 8.15 p.m. and your choice timings. Most carnivals have steak house, sushi bar and European style café. Also there is this new service called “the gathering”, which is a two level eatery offering breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Apart from the Italian, Mexican, Asian, Mongolian, Tex-Mex, you can also cook your own custom food from the available resources.
While the above mentioned cruises target the grown up, the Royal Caribbean cruise line has an approach to those travelling with families and kids.
It has an offering called” my family time dining” and “my time dining”. This service is such that you along with your family will be entitled a 40 minutes in the dining room for the kids after which a youth counselor will accompany the kids to club activities in the evenings. This saves the grown up time from spending it on monitoring of kids and saves the kids of the various advice during their club activities by their grown –ups.
