1. As soon as you decide where to go and what to see during a cruise, book your cruise vacation as early as possible. If you make a early booking you can take an advantage like 10-15% discounts.

2. Before booking your cruise its better to know what kind of cruise ship you want. Small cruise ships accommodate about 500 passengers and are more “family type” cruise ships. Medium Cruise ships accommodate about 1000 vacationers. The medium sized cruise ships have a variety of activities and entertainment on board. Large cruise ships accommodate over 1200 passengers and usually are called fully loaded cruisers. In large cruise ships you can find more activities, amenities and your are likely to get more excited.

3. If you are going to take a cruise alone you have to decide before booking a cruise if you want to share your cabin or not. If you don’t want to share your cruise ship cabin you have to pay the single supplement rate, and its pretty expensive. If you want to share your cabin ask your company, they will find you a suitable cabin mate, so you don’t have to pay for single supplement rate.

4. If you have any specification about room preferences request them. Cabins in the middle of the ship are the cabins that do not move as much so if you are seasick get a cabin on the middle of the cruise ship. Also this will cost you cheaper. You have to pay more if you want to book a cabin with an ocean view and balcony. Also don’t forget that not every cruise liner have the same definition for a “suite” so if you are looking to book a suite on a cruise please make sure you know what you are getting in return of your pre-payed money.

5.  Be flexible for your cruising time. You can find a better cruise deal in peak season so if you don’t mind cruising on peak season you can save your hard earned money.
